Our Story

Fr. Steven McCarthy has been in pastoral ministry since 2013. He graduated from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh and went on to serve churches in Walton, New York and South Bend, Indiana, before moving back to Lansing in 2020.

He and his wife Emily are Lansing natives. They love the Capital Area and are excited about planting a Christ-centered church in Lansing in the beauty of the Anglican tradition. They have been settling into their home in the Eastside Neighborhood of Lansing with their four children. Fr. Steven has been working in area schools as a paraprofessional educator.

 

Several other families and individuals have been joining the McCarthys weekly for dinner, prayer, and teaching on Thursday evenings, as St Barnabas Anglican Fellowship has been taking shape. They would love to meet you and hear about your journey so far.
